Britney Spears Will Return to Las Vegas Residency After Shooting
  • 7 years ago
Britney Spears isn’t letting the recent mass shooting in Las Vegas delay her residency or future performances in Sin City.
The singer sent a message to her fans via Instagram, saying, “We’ll get through this together… See you Wednesday. #VegasStrong.”
Britney is following in the footsteps of Celine Dion, another singer with Vegas residency, who also returned on stage after 59 people were killed and more than 500 were injured by a gunman firing upon a crowd of thousands at the Route 91 Harvest country music festival.
People magazine reports that Dion addressed her audience before the show, saying “Tonight we’re going to let these families know that we are supporting them and that we will help them through their tragic loss.”
TMZ reports that rapper Killer Mike revealed he’s nervous about performing at the Austin City Limits music festival in Austin, Texas. The rapper understands if both performers and fans have reservations, but he too, along with Britney and Celine, will stay strong and not let fear bog them down.
