Graduation surprise: daughter skips ceremony to amaze mom

A video has emerged from Los Angeles capturing a mother's reaction when her daughter surprises her by hiding in a giant gift box.
The video, shot in May 14, shows the moment the mother finds the gift box outside her house with her daughter, Shelem Celis, hidden inside for a Mother's Day surprise.
Shelem comes out of the parcel and the two embrace.
''My mother was unable to attend my graduation at a Syracuse University because flights were so expensive, so I came to her,'' Shelim later wrote online.
''Graduation at Syracuse University is on Mother's Day and I decided to skip my graduation ceremony to surprise her on this big day,'' she added.
