The NBA season hasn't started yet but commissioner Adam Silver weighed in on national anthem protests. "It's been a rule as long as I've been involved with the league, and my expectation is that our players will continue to stand for the anthem" The NBA has a rule that requires players to stand and “line up in a dignified posture along the sidelines or on the foul line” during the anthem. Silver wouldn't say whether players would be fined if they didn't stand.
