# 7 Escaped Fugitive Dials 911\r
In September of new, eight inmates traveling in a transport van in western Oklahoma attempted to escape, and they might have gotten pretty far if it werent for a few of the inmates who werent cooperating. When two of the people operating the transport van left to bring an ill inmate into the hospital, Lester Burns and Michael Coleman broke through the separation screen and drove a few miles away in the van. Then the two made a run for it on foot. However, the rest of the inmates stayed inside the van and one fugitive made his way to call 9-1-1 and report that he and the other inmates had escaped. Of course, the authorities quickly caught up with the lost van and Burns and Coleman were taken back in. \r

Giulio was caught transporting 400 pounds of cocaine in a small seaplane, so it is ually not too surprising that he used another unconventional aircraft to escape prison. A remote-controlled, miniature zeppelin airship was supposed to carry on climbing gear, camouflage paint and night-vision goggles for Giulio to scale the wall in the middle of the night. But the plan was popped when police intercepted the balloon and arrested Giulios cohorts operating the zeppelin just outside the prison. \r

Hector Luis Campos decided that he didnt need an elaborate plan or fancy tools to escape prison. He didnt even need spoons to dig his way out! Campos decided that all he needed to escape prison was his fists. At about 4 in the morning, prison guards heard banging noises from inside Camposs cell, and upon investigating noticed that he was punching the brick wall around the door. He ually managed to break up some of the mortar between bricks and would throw it away into the cells toilet. Of course, he didnt really do much damage to the wall, but he did turn his hand into a huge swollen mess and was charged with attempted escape.\r

An inmate planned an escape from his jail cell in the Brazilian city of Ceres. The Guards at this prison found inmate Rafael Valadao halfway stuck between two walls. When one of his smaller inmates made it through a hole in the wall, Valadao tried to follow him through. However, at 225 pounds, he couldnt make it all the way through. When the guards found him, he was screaming in pain as he was completely stuck. The guards were giggling and laughing at him as they called in firefighters who had to help dislodge the man from the hole. He was later taken to a hospital in fear that he had broken a rib while trying to escape. \r
