Ikea has snatched up TaskRabbit an on-demand platform that helps people with everyday tasks. The furniture retailer will acquire 100 percent of TaskRabbit's shares but the latter will continue to operate independently. "We will be able to learn from TaskRabbit’s digital expertise, while also providing IKEA customers additional ways to access flexible and affordable service solutions to meet the needs of today’s customer.” There was no timetable given as far as when TaskRabbit will be integrated.
