China sets new Guinness record for duck roasting

A new Guinness record was created on Monday in Yiliang, Yunan, China for roasting more than 3,000 ducks, the ever largest amount at a time.

A total of 3,192 ducks weighing 3,689.68 kilograms were roasted in 266 closed ovens. The roast ducks were given to local nursing homes and low-income families for free afterward.

Yiliaing is known as a big county for duck breeding and every year about 17 million ducks are bred here, yielding about 90.5 million U.S. dollars of income.
