A shopkeeper saved the life of his five-year-old nephew after a criminal threw bombs at his shop in Patna, India.

Imtiaz, 30, the owner of Ayan fashion, shielded Ayaz with his body and took the brunt of the blast, said eyewitnesses.

A traffic CCTV camera recorded the bomb attack, which occurred on September 20, in the Dariyapur Fakirwada area of the city.

It shows two men getting off a bike with one of them rushing towards the shop and throwing two bombs at it, which he takes out of a bag.

It also shows Imtiaz running out of the shop in a bloodied shirt carrying Ayaz. A teenager, Miraj (15), who was also inside the shop ran out with them.

All three were rushed to a hospital by onlookers. Imtiaz, who was injured seriously, is said to be recovering.

Business rivalry is being cited as a possible cause for the attack, which is being probed by the local police.

Imtiaz had opened Ayaz Fashion on September 14, less than a week prior to the attack.
