A cute video has emerged from North Carolina capturing the reaction of a baby born with hearing loss as he hears his father's voice clearly for the first time.

The footage, captured on September 18 in Winston, shows 5-month-old Elisha, who was born with hearing and vision loss, staring at his dad with amazement after getting his first hearing aids.

''Elisha was born with two rare genetic syndromes, Pierre Robin Syndrome and Sticklers Syndrome,'' filmer Rachel Lackey - Elisha's mother - later wrote online.

''He was born with hearing loss, vision loss, a cleft palate and a recessed chin.''

''He will need different hearing aids in the future but this was the first step at helping Elisha hear,'' she added.
