Romulo Barral pursued Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at the age of 15 in order to become an MMA fighter. With 18+ years in the sport, Romulo is a 3rd degree Black Belt, 4x IBJJF World Champion, 2013 ADCC Champion, and one of the best Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competitors of all time.

In 2009, 12 years after Romulo was exposed to the sport, he was introduced to Edwin Najmi, who became his first-ever Black Belt and a rising star under his tutelage.
