یومِ شھادتِ فاروقِ اعظم حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالیٰ عنہ
Sahibzada Sultan Ahmad Ali sb speaking about "Purified soul has an effect not only on the people but also on the earth. And, everything in this cosmos, with GOD's will"
حضرت عمر کے دور میں زلزلہ آیا اور زمین ہِلنے لگی زلزلے کی شدت اتنی تھی یوں محسوس ہوتا تھا کہ زمین ابھی پھٹ جاۓ گی حضرت عمر فاروق رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ نے زمین پر کھڑے ہو کر اللہ تعالی کی حمد و ثنا بیان کی زلزلہ نہیں رکا زلزلہ جاری رہازمین ہلتی رہی خوف طاری رہا لوگوں پہ یہ ہوتی ہیں اہلِ تزکیہ کی قوت کہ صرف انسانوں کے اوپر نہیں دنیا اور کائنات کی ہر چیز کے اوپر اللہ اُن کا حکم لاگو فرما دیتا ہےحضرت عمر بن خطاب اپنا دُرّہ اٹھاتے ہیں اپنا کوڑا اٹھاتے ہیں اپنا کوڑا اٹھا کے زمین کے اوپر پٹخ کر زمین سے مخاطب ہوتے ہیں "اے زمین میں تجھے کہہ رہا ہوں تو تھمتی کیوں نہیں کیا میں نے تیرے اوپر عدل نہیں کیامیں تجھے حکم دے رہا ہوں تُو تھم نہیں رہی جب حضرت عمر رضی اللہ تعالی عنہ نے یہ فرمایا تو زمین وہیں ساکت ہو گئی۔"
An earthquake hit Madina in Hazrat Umar's time (R.A). The earth panted and jolted ceaselessly. It seemed as if the earth would rend. Hazrat Umar Farooq (R.A) stood his ground and told his hymns to Allah. The earthquake did not cease. The shaking of earth struck terror in the people's heart. However, purification of soul has an effect not only on the people but also on the earth. And, everything in this cosmos, with God's will, falls under the jurisdiction of the purified soul. So, Hazrat Umar ibn Khataab (R.A) takes out his whip. Lashing the earth with it, he speaks out, "O earth, I ask you to stop and you don't give ear. You do not stop. Haven't I dispensed justice on you? I tell you to rest and still you shake!" Hazrat Umar (R.A) said this and the earth stopped in the middle of its shake-up.
