Salma Hayek is doing her best to raise awareness and money to help victims in Mexico after the country has been devastated by two earthquakes and a hurricane in a matter of weeks.
The actress is personally contributing $100,000 to UNICEF an Instagram video, saying [I have lived through the aftermath of a disaster of this magnitude and it’s horrific. I’m starting a crowd raise to try to raise money to help the families that are going through this nightmare in Mexico.]
Salma is imploring her fans to donate what they can to help disaster relief efforts in Mexico.
According to the Daily Mail, the 7.1 magnitude earthquake has caused major damage to Mexico City, and resulted in at least 200 deaths.
Hopefully Salma’s $100,000 dollar contribution will be a start to help the people of Mexico rebuild.
