Lift Off: Cargo rocket carrying supplies to ISS successfully launches
  • 7 years ago
A fresh delivery is on its way to the International Space Station. Orbital Sciences Corporation launched a cargo ship on Sunday from the Virginia coast. Daylight limited visibility, but sky-gazers from North Carolina to New Jersey still had a shot at seeing the rising rocket. The unmanned capsule, called Cygnus, contains more than 3,000 pounds of supplies, much of it food. Also on board: mini-satellites, science samples and experimental exercise outfits.
