Australia will look to put this defeat behind them as they prepare for the second ODI at the Eden Gardens - a venue where they had outplayed India in 2003. However, they certainly do have some serious issues to deal with ahead of this game. First, they let India post a competitive score from a position where they could have easily restricted them to under 200. And second, they once again failed to counter spin in subcontinent conditions and kept losing wickets at regular intervals. Unless the visitors improve on in these areas, they will continue to have a hard time against an Indian team who are on top of their game at the moment. So putting money on the Aussies isn't worth the risk for now.
