Brazil is home to some of the strangest and weirdest findings like a possible alien body and one of the biggest snakes ever caught. \r

7. Legless Lizard\r

If a lizard doesnt have legs, does it make it a make a snake? Apparently not. Seems like each times scientists go into Brazil, they seem to come out discovering a new creature that no one has ever seen or heard of. This new lizard has in f has evolved its form in order to maneuver quicker in the savanna environment. The face looks more like a lizard since it doesnt have a pointy snout but the body of a snake clearly. This creature was found in a savannah called the Cerrado, which covers an area half the size of Europe!\r

6. Gruto do Lago Azul\r

Blue Lake Cave in English, this a breath-taking discovery for whoever stumbled upon it first. This is one of the largest flooded lakes in the world and is located in the south near the border of Brazil and Paraguay. Its filled with an amazing pool of clear blue water that shocks people who get the chance to visit this location. Its possible that no other human has set foot into this cave until it was discovered in the 1920s by local tribes. The blue color is given off when sunlight comes down a hole in the ceiling.\r

5. Mysterious Body\r

In such a large unexplored country, we cant always keep track of whats going on. The remains of a possible dead alien were found near the city of Itajuba, Brazil. People discovered it when they began following a dog that was barking and then ran to the location. They discoverers were afraid to touch or remove the remains so they left it there. After a few days, the body had disappeared. The two decided to record what they saw. Hoax or real? Its hard to completely determine but still a surprising discovery nonetheless.\r

4. Vegetarian Creature Discovered\r

A vegetarian dinosaur with unusually large canine teeth. Archeologists originally thought they had uncovered the fossil of a new fierce carnivore but it turned out this dinosaur prefered leaves over meat. Scientists are nicknaming it the sabre-toothed tortoise and was the size of a large dog. The canines were about the size of crayons and it even had teeth on the roof of the mouth These were most likely served for self defense purposes and used for scaring off large predators opposed to ripping apart flesh. \r

3. Snake Island\r

Located off the coast of southeast coast of Brazil, not too far from Sao Paulo, lies an island the explorers probably werent too happy about finding. There is an estimated 1 snake per square meter making it a tad difficult to navigate. A lighthouse was built to keep ships from crashing into it at night but besides that, there is no other man made structures on the island. People who tried to create a banana plantation fled after an attempt in killing the snakes by setting the island on fire. The snakes survived however and no one lives here. There are so many venomous snakes on this island that the Brazilian Navy decided to close the island off from tourists The only people who are able to come here are the ones willing to research the reptiles. The rumors of treasures, however, brought the Discovery Channel here to film a TV show.\r

Speaking of snakes, these construction workers came across a shock discovery when they found an extremely large anaconda weighing over 800 pounds and measuring over 30 feet long! The Guiness World Records Book has the former largest snake being 8 feet shorter.So this is now the biggest snake ever found. It came out of a cave and is unfortunate to no longer be alive after workers had rigged the cave for explosion. The awful crew is now under scrutiny for not keeping the creature alive. Not only did they destroy the environment but the took the life of an amazing species.\r

Brazil has been a hotspot for UFO sighting and this one is one of the most clearly recorded and photographed. Another weather balloon possibly? Seems more like a flying ferris wheel. Whatever it is, it turns out to be the most bizarre discovery and among the most mysterious in the the vast country of brazil
