Thirty-two years after the terrible 1985 earthquake that killed 10,000 people, Mexico City has once again experienced the terror of feeling the ground rise from its feet.
The death toll is still unknown, and emergency responders have sent out a number of warnings of possible explosions and other accidents with gas pipelines and factories of other sensitive products.
After the terrible 1985, various regulations were adopted and this helped to secure the current buildings ... but even so, so close to the city (about 120 km the epicenter) the destruction was still very large.
