Diners turning to takeaways as restaurant noise levels SOAR
DINERS are turning to takeaways to escape the clamour of noisy restaurants, a charity claims.
It is now urging irate diners to take readings using a free smartphone app called Decibel 10 to report high noise levels, either to venues directly or through sites such as TripAdvisor. Chief executive Paul Breckell said there was “overwhelming evidence that noisy venues are becoming a customer turn-off”. A spokesman for Patisserie Valerie said it had “not recorded any customer complaints on noise levels”.Action On Hearing Loss is the largest charity for people with hearing loss in the UK. . 00FastNews.
