Here is a song I created to help my 6th grade students study. I hope you enjoy.\r

Sunlight it comes up daytime where the lights touch\r
The night flipside the lights off\r
Sunlight we see it because of Earths rotation\r
The night comes we spin as a top\r
\r
But it never stops axis like a post\r
From North goes right straight down to the South Pole, Oh\r
23.5 tilt, 23.5 tilt\r
Day/night 24 hours, no more\r
\r
Oh, Oh, oh, oh\r
Oh, Oh, oh, oh\r
\r
Counting days for a month or more\r
New moon were waiting for\r
28 days plus this is crazy\r
To make a month need to make it right\r
Some months have 30 nights\r
This makes it hard some 31 nights\r
But added up to gain it makes a year\r
\r
And thats right, February just 28 nights\r
It adds a day for leap year making 29, 29, 29\r
Adds up 365 and ¼ and a ¼ \r
\r
Well Earth might be spinning like a top but bent\r
Cause this causes the temperatures to change\r
Earth orbits the sun going round and round again \r
Tilting makes the seasons, makes the seasons\r

When the north has snow tilts away not close\r
But when the north leans in its not cold no more, oh\r
Spring, summer, then fall, winter again so\r
Sunlight makes it go, come on\r
\r
So what it this? It is a solstice\r
Sun in the sky 23.5 degrees\r
Starts winter or summer this\r
\r
So, when the day is long\r
When nights is long equal they are\r
Spring and fall cause thats when they are\r
Equinox, equinox, equinox, equinox.\r
\r
Well that is that guys that is all, wait a minute its the moon again\r
Gravity pulls on this on the water and on the land\r
Creates tides makes two high, two low\r
Six hours between them water goes\r
A high tide it not alone its paired up with another one\r

The tides can be much stranger when the sun helps the moon tug\r
Extra pulling a spring tide\r
Man, you wouldnt believe a neap tide begins\r
Right angle forms \r
Tide not so high, ahhh.\r

The suns might you wouldnt believe \r
