This is a video to explain how to draw a tree at distance with pastel color. This is the last part of my earlier drawing cloudy sky landscape to explain how I completed the green ground and the tree. I am using off white toned pastel paper and PRISMACOLOR soft pastel. Detail steps are given below:\r
\r
To draw the ground, I am using a deep green, bright green, gray green, yellow, bright yellow with horizontal strokes. Then using fingertip, blending all these color together to get the texture of the ground. If required to adjust color at some part of the ground, use additional colors. \r

The tree is at distance, so foliages are not going to be that prominent. Only thing we are going to see is texture of various colors. So that is what we have to achieve. To start with, create a base of deep green color on top of sky and cloud. Also you can plan ahead by leaving some part untouched for the tree while working on the sky and cloud. Now apply bright green, black to create some dark areas, some brown on top of black, some yellow, some deep green, some bright yellow, some blue to get the desired foliage texture. Then create some branches behind foliages and the main trunk structure of the tree using a black and brown color. \r
