Ultra HD sounds great...but what exactly is it?
Ultra HD or ultra high definition is the term generally used when talking about TV models that offer a minimum resolution of 3,840 x 2,160 pixels.
This is already the case for one in four televisions sold in France. However, the first ultra HD digital terrestrial TV channels in France are expected for 2018, before a possible general rollout in 2020.

But ultra HD technology is about much more than just TVs: reflex cameras, smartphones and tablets can also offer it.
There are two main types of benefits with ultra HD: on the one hand, the brightness, colors and level of detail are spectacularly improved; on the other hand, thanks to the wider viewing angle and reduced retrospective, it delivers more realistic, immersive images.
