Netanyahu meets Macri:
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with Argentinian President Mauricio Macri in Buenos Aires on Tuesday to hold diplomatic talks. Argentina is the first country he will visit in a four day swing across the continent where he will also travel to Colombia and Mexico where he hopes to start a 'new era of relations between Israel and Latin America.


Protesters Target Macron's Labor Reforms:
Thousands of protesters took to the streets of Paris, Marseille, Lyon and other big cities across France on Tuesday. Union members went on strike to protest government plans to overhaul labor regulations which pose the first real test to Macrons leadership since he took office last May.

Macron Finally Arrives in the Caribbean
French President Emmanuel Macron finally arrived in the hurricane hit French islands of the Caribbean on Tuesday, a week after the deadly storm Hurricane Irma hit. The European leaders of France, Britain and the Netherlands have been criticized for their slow response to the disaster which has claimed the lives of at least 23 people.


Hezbollah Declares Victory:
The Lebanese Shi‘ite group Hezbollah has declared victory in the Syrian war. The statement proclaimed via Lebanese media by Hezbollah leader Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah, whose group has sent thousands of fighters to Syria, claimed they had “won in the war.” Although militants have been substantially pushed back out of strategic areas of the country, it is reported that the Islamic State still control around 27,000 square km of Syria’s territory.
