Fallon welcomes Brexit vote in Commons

Michael Fallon MP has welcomed last night’s vote in the House of Commons on the government’s ‘European Union (Withdrawal) Bill’ describing it as ‘a very good result’ despite opposition from Labour. Speaking in Westminster, the Defence Secretary also insisted that Parliament will continue to have a role throughout the Brexit process and that MPs will still have a chance to scrutinise the bill in more detail at committee stage.
