The Monetary Policy Committee is widely expected to keep interest rates steady,
but the decision comes as some members of the committee have become increasingly concerned about inflation.
In its latest inflation forecast in August, the Bank of England said it expected inflation to peak at 3 percent in October.
At a financial services conference in New York on Tuesday morning, Harvey Schwartz, the president
and co-chief operating officer of Goldman Sachs, will present his firm’s current outlook.
