Why was this Saudi singer just arrested for dabbing?

Abdullah al-Shahrani was performing onstage in front of fans when his dab was caught on camera last month. The Saudi government had recently passed a new law forbidding the dance move, calling it a western cultural trend and a reference to drugs.

But Saudi officials may not have anticipated the backlash from al-Shahrani's fan base. Since his arrest, thousands of fans have been taking videos or photos of themselves dabbing, posting them online in order to show support.

Looks like the dab may be the move that can't be stopped.
