This congresswoman wants to rid the US Capitol of Confederate statues [Mic Archives]

Twelve leaders of the Confederacy currently have statues of themselves in Statuary Hall in the U.S. Capitol. However, since the rally in Charlottesville, Virginia, their presence is starting to be questioned. Now, one senator and one congresswoman are working to rid the statues from the hall. However, there is currently no Republican support for the newly-introduced bill.
