Device detects cancer within 10 seconds

A new device can now spot cancerous tissue with 10 seconds. Surgeons can use the "MacSpec" device while operating to distinguish between malignant versus healthy tissue. While pathology results usually take up to several days the device allows doctors to get an answer on the spot.
