Reed Timmer interviews astronomer Lee Ott describing their telescope and the different phases of the eclipse. This powerful telescope is a 23” refactor telescope and is the 8th largest of its kind in North America. It will be focused on nearby planets during the eclipse, while a battery of other telescopes will be focused on the sun.
