Talking ravens amaze visitors to UK castle
  • 7 years ago
An amusing clip of some talking ravens which live at Knaresborough Castle in North Yorkshire, UK.

The birds can be heard saying "hello" to visitors and also asking "what the matter?" and "what are you looking for?"

There are eight ravens at the castle and most of them will talk to visitors to the ruined fortress, which overlooks the River Nidd.

Some have even been heard to say in a Yorkshire accent "you alright, luv?"

Ravens have been kept at Knaresborough Castle since 1999.

Like other members of the crow family, ravens have been shown to possess surprising intelligence and linguistic ability.
