Tech CEOs urge Trump to keep DACA 'dreamers' program

The leading U.S. technology companies have urged President Donald Trump to preserve the DACA program. The CEOs wrote in a letter posted on FWD.us The letter also points out that the possible deportation of this workforce could cost the economy $460 billion and $25 billion in Social Security and Medicare tax contributions. The letter was signed by Amazon's Jeff Bezos, Apple's Tim Cook, Facebook's Mark Zuckerberg, Google's Sundar Pichai, Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Meg Whitman, Microsoft's Satya Nadella, Netflix's Reed Hastings, and many others. The DACA program was launched in 2012 by Barack Obama, and protects approximately 800,000 undocumented known as 'dreamers', who came to the country when they were children.
