Joe Biden’s Book Tour Said To Be A Potential Test For 2020 Run

According to The Hill, past aides to Joe Biden say his upcoming book tour will be a test of whether he should enter the 2020 race for the Democratic presidential nomination.

Former Vice President Joe Biden will soon be touring to promote his new book ‘Promise Me, Dad: A Year of Hope, Hardship and Purpose,’ slated for release on November 14.
According to The Hill, past aides to Biden say the effort will be a test of whether he should enter the 2020 race for the Democratic presidential nomination.
One commented, “It's a chance to step out on his own terms with a character reinforcing narrative that reintroduces himself to America as more than a vice president.”
Biden has neither confirmed nor denied participation in the next presidential election.
According to a Politico piece from April, events on Biden’s schedule, “would fit with a candidate in the early stages of a White House run.”
Others likely to be gearing up for what many predict will be a very packed Democratic primary include Senators Elizabeth Warren and Al Franken.
In a June Morning Consult/POLITICO poll, they and Biden were identified as the most favored contenders, with the former vice president leading the pack.
Other names brought up in discussions about 2020 include Senator Kamala Harris, Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, and Senator Cory Booker.
