Millions lost from Mayweather-McGregor fight due to pirated streams

The Floyd Mayweather-Conor McGregor showdown netted $700 million in profits but millions more were lost as 3 million fight fans watched the PPV on pirated streams. Irdeto, a digital platform security company, identified 239 illegal streams of the fight Saturday night. The PPV cost folks $100 or around $20 if you went to a bar. UFC president Dana White believes it will break the record of $4.6 million buys set by Mayweather-Manny Pacquaio in 2015.
