‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’ show goes off air

The most controversial popular daily soap, ‘Pehredaar Piya ki’ which came under a scanner after showing a ‘suhagraat’ and honeymoon sequence of a 9-year-old kid with an 18-year-old teenager, has finally come to an end.
Yes, the show has gone off air and the reason cited by the makers is that they felt a late night slot would do an injustice to the story.
Confirming about the same, the channel released a statement, “ Effective from August 28 2017, we are pulling off our programme, ‘Pehredaar Piya Ki’, from television. We as a channel, are convinced that we will be better served by focusing instead on developing viewer interest in our upcoming shows. We are grateful to all the artists, producers and fans of our shows and request you to graciously support the viewership of our new ventures.”
Well, all we can say is it’s a win-win for all those who opposed the plot in the beginning.
