President Donald Trump and his 11-year-old son, Barron Trump, may be on their way to making White House history.
A painting of the two could end up being the first father-son portrait, albeit unofficial, to grace 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, reports TMZ.
The image is the work of artist Barry Wingard.
According to the media outlet, Wingard approached Mike Kelly, a U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania, and asked him to send two other portraits, one of President Trump and the other of first lady Melania Trump, to the family.
Kelly reportedly agreed, but he and a Trump staffer also took notice of the image showing Barron and his father sharing a hug and suggested it be forwarded as well.
What ultimately becomes of the paintings is up to the Trumps, but, should it end up hanging at the White House, it would likely be an unprecedented inclusion of a first family member.
The presidential portrait tradition stretches all the way back to George Washington and paintings have endured as the medium of choice.
The Washington Post noted in a June piece that former President Obama's official portrait is still in the making and expected to take one to two years.
