The atmosphere was tense at the Shah Alam stadium after football fans were unable to purchase tickets to the SEA Games men's football final after they had lined up for hours.

Ticket sales went on for 20 minutes before being suspended at 11am today after the situation went out of control.

It was announced on Sunday that tickets to the match would only be sold at the stadium. Football fans had descended on the stadium as early as 1am even though ticket counters only opened at 10.40am.
