KARACHI: Police claimed to have killed a suspected robber in a shootout in the city’s Lines Area on Sunday night.
According to SSP Dr Irfan Baloch, the police received a call that three robbers were busy looting citizens within the limits of Brigade police station. Acting swiftly, when the police reached there, the robbers tried to escape, defying the orders to surrender. They opened fire on the police party and when the police returned fire, one was killed while two others managed to escape, he added.
