Former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper slammed President Trump's speech on Tuesday at a Phoenix rally.

Former national intelligence director James Clapper has shared some thoughts about the rally President Trump held in Phoenix on Tuesday night.
In a Wednesday morning appearance on CNN, Clapper characterized the president’s speech as “downright scary and disturbing,” telling host Don Lemon, “I really question his...fitness to be in this office. I also am beginning to wonder about his motivation for it — maybe he is looking for a way out.”
When asked if he deems Trump a threat to national security, Clapper expressed concern about Trump’s easy access to the nation’s nuclear codes.
He also commented, “In a fit of pique he decides to do something about Kim Jong-un, there’s actually very little to stop him.”
During the rally, Trump touched upon many of his typical talking points, including the dishonest media, crowd sizes, and his grievances with Arizona Senator John McCain, though he did not mention him by name.
At times, the crowd responded with chants, such as "lock her up," and "drain the swamp."
