Amatrice (Italy), Aug 22 (EFE), (Camera: Álvaro Padilla).- A number of people affected by the earthquake that struck central Italy on Aug 24, 2016 feel forgotten and abandoned by authorities, while others see progress in the disaster's management.

"People are tired of being away, they want to come back," Arquata del Tronto mayor Aleandro Petrucci told Efe.

Pescara del Tronto resident Rita, on the other hand, who lost her house and friends because of the earthquake, said she was calm because "when something like this happens to you, you cannot complain."
