Monday’s solar eclipse caused a great deal of excitement among many, but, based on a law enforcement Facebook post, one man may have been bit too committed to watching the event.
Florida’s Orange County Sheriff’s Office reports that Jocsan Feliciano Rosado, 22, was being followed by its Auto Theft Unit when he stopped at a store in Kissimmee, “and bought a welder's mask to safely view the solar eclipse.”
The post notes that as the suspect, “was standing in the parking lot next to the stolen car, with the welding helmet on and looking up at the eclipse, deputies swooped in and made an arrest.”
The department further comments, “He never saw it coming. That only happens every 99 years.”
