Vishal Sikka resigned on Friday as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Infosys. In a letter to stock exchanges, Company Secretary AGS Manikantha confirmed the development, saying the resignation was accepted at a board meeting on August 18. Sikka has cited 'personal attacks' on him as one of the reasons for his sudden decision to resign, saying they were amplified by people who should have supported him.
