Uganda struggling to cope with influx of refugees

A million refugees from South Sudan have now arrived in neighbouring Uganda, according to the UN refugee agency. The Ugandan government allows refugees to access local services such as schools and hospitals, which are now struggling to cope with the numbers. The new arrivals continue to accuse both sides in South Sudan’s civil war of committing atrocities such as the abduction, rape and murder of civilians. UN officials say they see no sign of the crisis ending.
