A converted penalty from Lionel Messi saw the Catalan side equalise after Luis Suarez was fouled in the box by Real Madrid goalkeeper Keylor Navas.

Cristiano Ronaldo scored a wonderful solo goal, only to be sent off a minutes later after receiving two yellow cards in quick succession for his provocative celebration and for diving. He will miss Wednesday’s second leg in Madrid.
