The Israel Defense Forces launched strikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Wednesday, August 9, after a rocket landed near Hof Ashkelon in southern Israel on Tuesday evening.Residents of Gaza shared photos and videos of explosions lighting up the night sky on social media.
