Veteran campaigner Rangana Herath will miss the third test against India due to a back injury. The injury comes as a big jolt to the Sri Lanka who have had dwindling fortunes this season. Earlier, during the first Test, all-rounder Asela Gunaratne was also injured and subsequently ruled out of the remainder of the series with a thumb injury. Meanwhile, Sri Lanka are trailing 2-0 in the three match series. They will take the field on August 12 for the final Test in a bid to avoid a whitewash defeat.
