Rex Tillerson says U.S. shouldn't cut off Russia despite election meddling
  • 7 years ago
U.S. Secretary of State Rex Tillerson met with Russian Secretary of State Sergei Lavrov on Monday. After emerging from the meeting, Tillerson said that the two countries have their differences but it isn't useful to cut off Russia entirely. These are two very large countries and we should find places that we can work together, let's try to work together. This was the first meeting between the two since the U.S. enacted sanctions against Russia as a result of their meddling in the 2016 presidential election.
