The Secretary of State for International Development has said that financial sums in the media for the 'divorce bill' to be paid by the UK on leaving the EU are just 'speculation.' Priti Patel says that on brexit, 'nothing is agreed until everything is agreed.' Her opinion differs to that of Michel Barnier, the EU’s chief Brexit negotiator, who told diplomats last month that the next step in negotiations may be pushed back to December, because Britain is stalling on the bill.
