Report: Trump Heads To His Bedminster Golf Club For Nearly Three-Week Vacation
  • 7 years ago
The Associated Press reports that President Trump will be heading to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey for nearly three weeks.

President Trump has long made clear that he’s not a fan of vacations, be it his own or Barack Obama’s.
Nonetheless, the Associated Press reports that he will be heading to his golf club in Bedminster, New Jersey for nearly three weeks.
Some in the town, such as business owners, are looking forward to his arrival and the throngs of people it will bring, reports WNBC.
Others are not at all excited about the possible protests, flight restrictions, and general interruptions to daily life that come with the president’s presence.
This time around there could also be drones. Not long ago, the secret service tested some eyes in the sky in hopes of providing an extra level of security and warned that people may unwittingly be caught on camera, notes Reuters.
Notably, the president is leaving Washington, D.C. despite the Senate’s failure to pass legislation to repeal and replace Obamacare.
According to Newsweek, Trump had previously told "Republican senators...that they should cancel their August recess and stay in Washington until they repeal Obamacare."
