NASA planning to chase the 2017 Solar Eclipse

The longest totality duration for the solar eclipse will last less than two and a half minutes. NASA plans to chase the eclipse on Aug. 21, prolonging totality to over seven minutes by sending two jet planes with mounted telescopes to observe the event.
