Najib Razak and the powerful Umno machinery have spent the past few weeks hammering and thrashing the legacy of one man - and that one man is unfazed, even revelling in the spotlight.

Dr Mahathir Mohamad expects the mainstream media to demonise him and says that Ahmad Zahid Hamidi's stinging remarks about his ancestry were the result of a personal vendetta.
