Texas community colleges will now allow guns on campus

Starting today, community colleges in Texas will allow guns on campus for the first time. The Campus Carry Law went into effect for four-year universities last year, but community colleges were given a year to comply. The law permits only licensed to carry (LTC) holders to carry concealed handguns on campuses. Open carry means the intentional display of a handgun, including the carry of a partially or wholly visible handgun stored in a shoulder or belt holster.
