The Election Commission of India on Thursday announced the schedule for by-elections to Nandyal Assembly seat in Andhra Pradesh for which polling will be held on August 23.
According to ECI, the notification for the by-elections will be issued on July 29 and nominations will be accepted from the same day. The last date for filing of nominations will be August 5. The nominations will be scrutinised on August 7 and the last date for withdrawal of candidature will be August 9. The polling will be on August 23 and counting of votes will take place on August 28.By-elections for Nandyal Assembly constituency got necessitated due to the sudden death of sitting MLA Bhuma Nagi Reddy. While TDP has already announced the candidature of Bhuma Brahmananda Reddy, YSR Congress Party is fielding Shilpa Mohan Reddy as its candidates in by-elections
