A UK driver found himself in a terrible single-vehicle collision, an hour after picking up his new Ferrari.

Police officers often state in their safety messages that life can change in an instant.
That's exactly what happened to a U.K. driver who found himself in a terrible car accident, about an hour after he picked up his new Ferrari.
"Officers were deployed to a single vehicle collision with reports that the vehicle had left the carriageway and burst in to flames," South Yorkshire Police described the accident on Facebook. "Road conditions were wet at the time and as officers arrived on scene it became clear there was a vehicle well alight and colleagues from South Yorkshire Fire & Rescuewere in attendance squirting water all over some kind of sporty motor [around 165 feet] down a banking."
While the images posted online show most of the car burned, the driver was fortunate to have reportedly escaped with minor cuts and bruises.
The police department posted the conversation with the driver, "Officers asked the driver what sort of car he 'had' to which he replied, 'It was a Ferrari.' Detecting a sense of damaged pride he then said, 'I've only just got it, picked it up an hour ago.'"
The Guardian reported the car was a Ferrari 430 Scuderia, estimated to be worth about $260,000.
